Landfill Restricted Items and Additional Fees
Dumpster bin uses in Kansas City cover everything from short-term home projects to large-scale construction and commercial jobs, with roll off dumpsters commonly used for remodeling debris, roofing tear-offs, property cleanups, business waste, and bulk material disposal throughout the KC area.
Restricted, special, or prohibited items result in additional charges. Final disposal costs are determined by the landfill at the time of tip-off and billed accordingly.

- Dehumidifiers and water coolers $75–$150 each

- Tires $25–$50 per tire
- Large furniture or bulky items $75–$200 per item
- Concrete, brick, block, asphalt $120–$180 per ton
- Roofing materials and shingles $120–$180 per ton
- Drywall and sheetrock $100–$160 per ton
- Clean dirt, soil, clay, or sand $150–$220 per ton
- Yard waste including grass, leaves, branches, stumps, sod $100–$200 per load
- Large quantities of food waste $150–$300 per occurrence

- Electronic waste including TVs, monitors, computers, servers $75–$200 per item
- Cell phones, tablets, laptops, smart devices $50–$100 each
- Items containing batteries of any type $100–$250 per occurrence
- Automotive fluids, oil, coolant, brake fluid $200–$400 per occurrence
- Paints, stains, solvents, varnishes $200–$400 per occurrence
- Pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals $250–$500 per occurrence
- Containerized materials. Drums, barrels, tanks $250–$600 each
- Sludge or semi-liquid waste $300–$700 per occurrence
- Sandblast grit $150–$250 per ton
- Print shop waste. Inks, toners, rags, wipes $250–$500 per occurrence
- Odorous waste causing landfill odor issues $250–$600 per occurrence

- Chemical process waste or spill cleanup debris $600–$1,500+
- Contaminated soil or UST remediation materials $600–$2,000+
- Mining, exploration, or production waste $600–$1,500+
- Heat generating or reactive waste $800–$2,000+
Important Customer Notice
All fees shown are estimated customer charges designed to cover landfill costs, handling, labor, fuel, and risk. Actual disposal costs are determined by the landfill at the time of tip-off. Any additional landfill charges, reload fees, or diversion costs will be passed through to the customer.
